Selected Property In Mexico
El Rodeo Ranch |
| Beautiful and historic El Rodeo Ranch has been owned through
five generations by the prestigious Maldonado family. The family
still possesses the original deed, dating back to 1819. El Rodeo
is located on Hermosillo-Moctezuma Highway 14, approximately 3 hours
from Douglas, Az. And Nogales. It is probably the oldest deeded
ranch property in Sonora, and maybe the finest in the whole state.
The Maldonado family has been very wise in their use of conservation
methods to preserve the character of this land, as well as the native
animals that inhabit it. Puma, jaguar, javelina, and white tailed
deer are very plentiful here, and the hunting is excellent. This
ranch is located in the most picturesque area of the Sonoran Mountains,
and varies from prairies to rolling green hills, and high mountains.
There are numerous springs and creeks, with a total of 90 dams.
Grass is plentiful for grazing, and is probably some of the best
grass you can find.
El Rodeo comes complete with 27,500 acres, 47 miles of interior
roads, houses, pens, warehouses, shops, 2 wells, and even some mining
operations. There are 2 runways in the El Lobo area, which are unused
at this time. Currently run as a very successful cattle ranch, there
are 900 Charolais cross cows, and 120 Charolais/Charbray bulls.
Twenty horses and 13 mares are also included with the above in this
sale. This rare and beautiful ranch is priced at $7,000,000 in US
dollars.
